URC and Control 4 customized touch screens and universal remote controls are the best thing since sliced bread.  Our universal remote controls can do A LOT more than just control you TV and audio video equipment!  Whether hardwired or wireless, our touch screens can also allow live video to a screen or to number of screens when a camera detects motion. When incorporated  with our door bells, the system can view and allow interaction with the person outside without them ever seeing you. Our remotes and touch screens can also produce live video feed from the majority of surveillance systems available on the market today.  

Some models of our touch screens have Alexa built right in. Therefore an Alexa dot or echo device is not needed.  The screen listens and can be programmed to pick up voice and give commands to as if there were an actual Alexa device in the room.  However, one of the advantages to using our touch screens over having an actual Alexa device, is that this function can be set to private.  This means that the USER has to press a button before Alexa wakes up and listens for commands. This solves many of the security concerns some have with Alexa always being in listening mode.  Our handheld remotes also have this option available but the remote is automatically set to privacy mode, therefore a button has to be pressed before Alexa can "wake up" and start receiving commands.
